Ok, I may have this (partially) solved on my Mac. Will report back as to whether or not the problem persists. Though for now I'm settling installing StuffIt 5.0. I use the described method of dragging to an alias as well - might give the other option a try. If I launch StuffIt, select expand from the pull down menu and select the file to expand, the issue doesn’t happen as frequently or predictably.Īha, that makes four.
